The ALL SOUTH KARATE FEDERATION (ASKF) is composed of Shotokan karate clubs in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. It is the oldest traditional karate organization in the southern United States. The Chief Instructor of ASKF is Sensei Takayuki Mikami, 8th dan black belt (JKA hachi dan), who founded the federation in 1965. Mr. Mikami, a native of Japan, was the first certified instructor sent overseas by the Japan Karate Association (JKA). He was the All-Japan Kumite (free fighting) champion twice and two time All-Japan Kata (forms) champion. Copyright (c) 2007 Louisiana Karate Association. All rights reserved.
